Keywors:Seamless steel pipe, the European Union announced the implementation of temporary safeguard measures for 23 types of imported steel products. From July 19th onwards, temporary safeguard measures will be implemented by tariff quota. For the 23 categories of imported steel products, quotas are limited to "nearly three years' average import volume". Once the quota is exceeded, the EU will levy 25% of the safeguard tariff.
The announcement said that, with the exception of some developing countries with very limited exports to the EU and the three countries of Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, which belong to the European Economic Zone, temporary safeguards are applicable to all other countries.
